Massage The message work that I provide at, A Healing Place Of Our Own, is focused on relieving stress, tension, and negative emotional states that can impact your health and positive well-being. (All that "stuff" that we are forced to deal with as part of our daily hectic lives). * All are welcome on my table, If you've been avoiding massage because of age, physique, or disability, it's time to change that pattern, because you are welcome here. * The massage is soothing, relaxing, reconnective, and regenerative. And always tailored to your specific needs. * The massages and bodywork services, that are provided to you at A Healing Place Of Our Own, (Do not involve Deep Tissue or Sports style massage). The Basic Massage The basic massage is a combination of Swedish, Reflexology, Cranial work, Abdominal work, and Glute work. I use massage oils and/or creams to enhance your experience. Acu-Cupping Massage Acu-Cupping is a combination of Swedish massage and Vacuum Cupping on specific Acupressure points that are blocked with stagnant Chi, (energy). The stagnant Chi, (energy) if not released can cause illness and disease. There are specific acupressure points that relate to specific emotional states and physical conditions. Your normal state of being is "Balance". And that means your Chi, (energy) is flowing freely and maintaining your positive health and well-being. The focus of Acu-Cupping is to bring about positive health and well-being, by eliminating the blocked Chi, (energy), that creates Negative Emotional states such as (stress, anxiety, tension, depression, etc.). When the blockages are dissolve (released) we return to a positive emotional state, of balance. Mummification for Emotional Health (Body Wrapping) Mummification for Emotional Health, is a body wrap that allows you to release and discharge negative emotions in a safe, secure, controlled, and comforting cocoon like environment. The mummification, involves three distinct procedures; 1) a pre- mummification hot shower to open your pores, 2) a mini full body Swedish massage with essential oils specifically selected to release and discharge the specific emotional imbalance, 3) mummification process (body wrapping), you will be wrapped with a sheet, a plastic sheet, a blanket, a space blanket.
